Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes positions itself as the second-largest e-commerce region in France, with 14,773 digital businesses representing 13.7% of the national sector. With its dominant B2C model (60.6%), it favors WooCommerce (49.4%) as its CMS. The departments of Rhône, Isère, and Haute-Savoie concentrate more than half of all businesses, illustrating sector diversity — manufacturing in Isère, tourism in Haute-Savoie — and the strength of Lyon's tech ecosystem. Île-de-France stands as the undisputed leader of French e-commerce with 26,488 businesses (25.9% of the national market). The B2C model dominates (56.3%) while WooCommerce and Shopify take the lion's share (37.2% and 35.7%). Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, and Seine-Saint-Denis concentrate half of all businesses, driven by professional services and fashion. The region capitalizes on a mature digital ecosystem, combining D2C innovation and premium excellence, with balanced technological solutions and optimized logistics.
